Kenya Prepares for Inauguration of Uhuru Kenyatta as President of Kenya 9 April 2013

Uhuru Kenyatta is to be sworn in as President of Kenya on Tuesday 9th of April 2013. The ceremony will take place at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, Nairobi. He is the fourh person to become President of Kenya, the first his Father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta 1964 – 1978, Hon Daniel Arap Moi 1978 – 2002, Hon Mwai Kibaki 2002 – 2013.

The Standard has an interesting article of Uhuru Kenyatta’s formative days at the Catholic St Mary’s School in Nairob i. His wife Margaret who is of Kenyan and German extraction attended the nearby Loreto Convent,  Msongari. The article highlights Uhuru Kenyatta’s personality and his love of Rugby – having played rugby for the schools colts and 2nd XV.
