Kenya Broadcasting Corporation or KBC as its commonly called is Kenya's official government backed broadcaster and a state corporation.
It was established by an Act of Parliament CAP 221 of the laws of Kenya to undertake public services. In the mid 1960s to late 1990s it was known as The Voice of Kenya (VOK). All official government statements would be announced through the KBC.
Its key brands are: KBC TV Channels and KBC Radio Channels which broadcast in a number of ethnic dialects.
