Religious leaders from the Coast have urged aggrieved parties in the election to seek reconciliation and take their grievances to court. Muslim, Christian and Hindu leaders appealed to political leaders to stop gambling with lives and the country.

At least 15 people have been burned to death in a church in western Kenya, after seeking refuge from the mounting violence over last week's elections.
