This article by Lucianne Limo (The Standard, Nariobi Kenya – 3 August 2009) Ogiek Set To Lose Ancestral Land, concerns the plight of Kenya’s aboriginal group known as the Ogieks, who reside around the Mau Forest region of Kenya.
It highlights the fact that more than 20,000 members of the Ogiek community will lose access to their ancestral land following a Kenya Government ruling to ban human settlement in the Mau Forest in Kenya.
