Massacre In Akobo, Jonglei State Southern Sudan – August 4 2009

Reports of over 100 people mainly women and children looking for food are killed in Jonglei State in Southern Sudan. There is very little coverage of this incident on some mainstream media outlets in the West.
However, this incident is covered by a BBC World Service audio report by Peter Martell BBC.
