Submitted by William Ang'awa Friday, 2 May 2008
Follow the Local Government Elections in the UK plus the London Mayoral Election.
“On Thursday 1 May, elections will take place for the Mayor of London and Greater London Assembly. On the same day, local elections will take place in all local councils in Wales, and some councils in England” Source: www.electoralcommission.gov.uk
These elections although, focusing on local issues will be watched by political analysts as an ‘indirect’ referendum or litmus test on UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, depending on how you look at it.
