Politics and The Civil Service

Dennis Onyango’s article – Politics and The Civil Service – The Standard 13th April 2008 provides good food for thought and may prove uncomfortable reading for some ‘politically appointed’ individuals in Kenya who have failed to deliver.
At the same time it is a sad reflection on how Kenya and developing countries treat loyal and hard working civil servants. The new Kenyan coalition government provides Kenyans with an opportunity to raise standards and bring back meritocracy. This is probably one way that civil servants will be true servants of the people. End
